I just took a drive to south Florida and saw a lot of wind
damage.  I drove thru two towns in a row without electric
power (Avon Park & Lake Wales).  Not even the traffic lights
worked.  I wanted to take photos but was already late due to
traffic.  On the way home it was too dark for photos.  There
were tractor trailers tipped over.  Same with mobile homes.
One I saw had flipped completely over and collapsed.  I had
to stare at it a while to figure out what it was because it
looked like a flat bed trailer parked on top of a load of
trash.  There were plenty of rooves (that can't be right.
"Roofs" looks better.)  Okay.  There were plenty of roofs
blown off, signs & fences down, etc.

The few fuel stores [sic] I saw open had long lines of
people waiting.  I'm glad I was tanked up before I got that
far.

The PWC riding I did in the Everglades was awesome as usual.
The water was only about 2' higher than average.  It was
much higher last year without a hurricane.  I got flushed --
literally -- in a loch.  I had the nose of my PWC too close
to the doors as they opened to let the water in.  I was too
busy looking the other way talking to my mates [sic].  Then
suddenly the boat dropped out from under me.  I had to jump
off or it would have flipped.  It was actually fun and kinda
cool.  I was wearing my shirt like a hat, so it came off and
sank forever.  The water height difference thru the loch was
about 10', so that was alot of water coming in fast.  Anyone
want to go riding with me?  Lots of gators, btw. ;-)
