Timing is suspicious -- are the storms an attempt to divert public
attention from Iraq and the economy?

(Disclaimer: Bonnie was weak and Charley hasn't hit yet -- it's easy
to joke about them now. If real damage is done, especially to people
we know like Samuel, the situation will be quite the opposite of
funny. I'm personally hoping for two dud storms in a row).
