Hey Bill- no joke- try superglue. That should close the wound up well.

If you're the first, you'll be the subject of many a joke at DeLorean
conventions.
Eric
PS- in reference to the comment about the plastic Fiero doors- What fun
is a project if you can't hurt yourself?

Walt wants me to engineer a simple scissors regulator onto my DeLo
(they've been good enough for every other auto manufacturer for 1,000
years. Why did JZD feel compelled to reinvent the window?). He's outta
luck -- I'm never going near it again, even with oven mitts on. Those
doors are lethal. I found 3 dead Irishmen inside mine. Ignore the
little skull & crossbones sticker at your own peril. I'm going to
build a sandbag wall for protection when I put the door panels back
on. Perhaps I could pay one of the unsuspecting neighborhood children
to do it for me. Sadam Husein would have saved himself a lot of
trouble by simply dropping gull wing doors on us. Plastic Fiero doors
are starting to look real good in comparison. If I'm not mistaken, the
Workshop Manual is totally silent about the risks of DeLorean doors
(writer must have lost his own fingers at that point and couldn't type
a warning).
I'm sitting here with duct tape wrapped around mine. Pulled last
night's tape off this morning, and the wound opened right back up.
You're absolutely correct -- blood just pours out. I must have severed
an artery or something. Wonder if anyone's ever bled to death through
their thumb?
