In 1966, all emergency calls were handled by the funeral home. There was no
independent ambulance service. The one listed is one of these
hearse/ambulance combos. The landau bars on the side identify it as a
hearse. The siren identifies it as an ambulance.
The rollers in the back which make it easy to load a casket can be flipped
over to become smooth and receive a gurney. It also has the jumpseats for
the attendants.

The Ghostbuster's wagon was a Cadillac ambulance, not a hearse. This 
is very coincidental...I've -recently- considered building the 
Ghostbuster's ambulance...the timing is scary.
The problem with the hearse, is the back is too boxy. I need the 
ambulance. It's also a few years too new. 
A hearse would make an AWESOME party barge though. :)
