It's even worse than that. Early OEM shafts are bigger and made out
better material than later OEM's. I wouldn't want a late model shaft
even if it was original. Would be afraid it couldn't hold up under
repeated duty cycles.
I've heard Houston is working on a replacement shaft but don't see it
anywhere on their website. Would probably be cheaper to make your own
anyway. Wonder if anyone's rawn up a diagram for one with the
dimensions already calculated?
