Re: [DMCForum] Re: Jacking points? (Martin G)

Still don't see your point - what's wrong with using the jacking points?
Ever known a DeLorean break as a result? Or have you just decided that
it's a bad idea based on your own extensive experience with structural
composites?

The tow-hook isn't connected to the fibreglass so don't talk nonsense.

Re tractor pull - Land Rover Defenders aren't made of fibreglass, and
with a Defender TDi with low ratio box, your ass is grass and I'm going
to mow it.

Incidentally, There's a new Rover (not landrover) out which uses an
american lump in it. Our very respected Top Gear presenter joked that it
looked like it was made from a combination of volcanic rock and
pig-iron, and pointed out that it has less power per unit volume than a
Daewoo matiz. Don't like lazy american lumps over here.

On a lighter note, took apart my 25 turbo engine last night - pistons
and bores look healthy, identified the sensors that are missing (due to
being mounted to the engine bay and not the engine), already got my 30
box at the rebuilders together with a bulletproof input coupler from
Toby. Now discovered (thanks to projectdelorean.com) that I need a
bellhousing from a 25 so I can mount the ignition trigger sensor.
Luckily the engine still has the flywheel.
