The whole thing boils down to Hussein thumbing his noses at the UN
inspectors. If he had nothing to hid, why did he refuse to have inspections?
Remember when he invaded Kuwait and launch chemical scuds? If he had nothing
to hide there was no point in refusing the UN inspectors into his country.
If he had done so he'd still be in power right now.
Before 9-11 diplomacy would have worked fine, but when you have a tyrant who
could be sitting on masses of chemical weapons you have to step up.

Hardly anyone's complaining about the initial invasion of Afghanistan.
That one made sense.
Iraq is where our illustrious Commander in Chief (non-elected by a
minority of the voting citizenry) lost his way. Screwed up not only
that misadventure, but the aborted Afghanistan "war" as well! (When is
Congress going to get some balls and take back their war power authority?)
Had Bush not invaded Iraq, Michael Moore wouldn't have had a movie or
an audience.
