Good to see you posting again on the Forum. As far as the attention you 
got at the show is concerned, I'm sure that even the "no alterations" 
crowd would have to be impressed with a car which has a total engine 
displacement of -- what, 10.2 litres? -- quite a lot anyway. Also the 
fact that you designed and manufactured the computer interface to keep 
both engines in harmony simply screams "brilliant". What you've done is 
impressive. I admire guys like you and Vixen Dave for having the 
clear-headedness and long-term thinking to see such a project that most 
people would call insane to its happy end.

(I also use you as examples to essentially prove to people that I'm not 
totally insane for wanting to own a DeLorean. Check's in the mail. *grin*)

I think the DeLorean owners and enthusiasts have a lot more camaraderie 
than most people (including ourselves) give us credit for. People from 
this list have been kind to me in conversations over the phone and in 
person, knowing that I don't own one yet, and also knowing that when I 
get one, I probably won't keep it stock (except for the outside). 
They've put up with my dumb questions, and I hope will put up with the 
other even dumber questions when I actually get the thing. ("Hey, what 
does this do?" Heh heh.) Personal differences aside, the people I've 
known here and on the DML have, for the most part, been patient, 
generous, and personable. And I'm not the most outgoing person in the 
world, either.

I look forward to joining you and the others in Chicago for DCS 2006, 
and yes I plan to have my car by then. :)
