Wilhelm,
When a Lambda ( emission system) is converted to a non Lambda, most people
over here that do that are looking for more HP and running a turbo, example
991 Euro Porsche version or pre 1980 the fuel distributors we adjusted to
increase the HP up about 15. If your running a 109 FD is was and is set up
for Lambda and by not having a FV your air to fuel ratio would have to be
adjusted manually. If you wanted to covert it back so the 02 sensor could
adjust it automatically you would have to replace it and make sure the ECU
is still there and working.
Bill Robertson has a lot experience about this.

Subject: [DMCForum] B28E/F how to tell them apart?
Hi,
When I bought my car, the dealer told me that the engine had
been replaced by a european model.
I noticed today that the car was missing the frequency valve...and
some other parts.
The fuel distributor is DMC type (0-438-100-109).
Has there been a bastard engine install? if the engine is a
B28E - should not the fuel delivery system be replaced as well?
Is there an ID plate somewhere on the engine to tell which type
it is?
Thanks.
