RE: [DMCForum] Just Dashes restoration or NOS dash pad?

They did the dash and binnacle in Josh's car as a test, but the gray was
slightly off color.  They corrected that and the raffle car has the perfect
one in it.  I will see if I can get Josh to send a more current picture so I
can post it in the photos section.

Can that company really redo our dashes? We don't have foam backed vinyl
covered dashes... we just have hard cheap plastic. I don't see how they
could be restored. I would think even if you could somehow recoat the dash
that if it had a crack, the crack would eventually manifest itself again.
I've got a big crack on my dash, and now I've got a purple splotch that's
starting to appear, so I'm in the same boat. Not to mention my binnacle is
cracked to hell. I wonder if they could do the binnacle too? Any info on
this would be great! -Louie

Josh and Ken recently developed a way to refinish them and the pictures sent
to me looked pretty good.  Check with Josh at jhaldeman@xxxxxxxx about
pricing as I have no idea.

I'm probably going to have my ugly cracked dash pad out the car soon, as
I'll be working on finally repairing the AC, which has a leaky evaporator.

As long as the dash pad is out, I'd like to repair or replace it, since
it's got a bunch of cracks in it.  Just Dashes (www.justdashes.com) has
been mentioned on the list before.  Does anyone know what they typically
charge for this kind of restoration?  Their website gives absolutely no
clues as their pricing.

A replacement NOS pad is really expensive for what it is, and I'd like to
think I can do better restoring my old one.  Comments?
