Gentlemen,
I'm going to make a crazy suggestion and let you deal with it however
you see fit.
On submarines, we have the same problem. How does one keep a giant,
steel turd from rusting?
Our answer: Zincs.
We mount large zinc bars directly to the hull in a variety of places,
inside and out. The current is diverted to them, and they corrode
instead of the hull. When they are basically a bar of white ash, we
simply unbolt and replace them.
Could we employ something on a smaller scale for our cars?
