Okay, after letting the tech at the local place play with the car for a 
few days, and after hearing him talk about wanting to rip apart the fuel 
distributor, I decided it'd be best to let DMCH have a look at it, so I 
called Bill and have an appointment to drop the car off tomorrow.

The local guy ended up backing off the timing 6 degrees to get it burning 
a little cleaner, but it's generating some misses now, so clearly 
something is just not right about either fuel delivery or spark.

I'll let everyone know what Bill says after he has a look at it.  I'm sure 
he'll be able to sort everything out.
