The fuel distribution & ignition systems are unlikely to do this, but technically it is possible. I suggest looking at your air mixture screws. The big one controls all the air, but the two smaller ones control either side. If these aren't balanced then it can cause a lean/rich difference from side-to-side. Did you forget and leave a wadded up paper towel in your intake manifold? I usually shove rags in engines while I have them apart to make sure that dirt or whatever doesn't get in.
