They are that small.

If you are thinking about starting to autocross I would highly recommend and
anyone who races will tell you get an automatic.  With a 5-speed you will
spend 99% of the time in 2nd and you will smoke your clutch.  The other
thing for a new driver that heavy ass end of a DeLorean will spin you
around.  I have been driving my Karmann Ghia for 8years even with fat tires
and a LSD at 80+hp it still catches me by surprise and tried to go out.

Please read some more books and talk to people before you attempt to do
anything on your own.  SCCA and PCA do everything they can to make auto-x
safe but you still can get hurt very bad, and even worse mess up a good car.

And if you think a car has limited slip cause it has 2 axels, you have a lot
of learning to do.  Alot of people at an auto-x event would laugh you off
the track for saying something like that.  The best thing you could do is
come on the fridge run. I guarantee you will learn more that you ever wanted
to know, and some of it might be correct.

Wow, the gains are that small?  :(  I'm thinking about autocrossing
(heard rumors that there are some good tracks in central FL), but
hundredths are a drop in the bucket.  Also, rebuilding that tranny
is something I'd like to stay away from!  I know nothing about it,
just what I see in the parts manual.

Speaking of, I always thought the D was limited slip because it has
shafts on both sides... but in the parts manual it looks like "one-
wheel-wonder drive".  Which is correct?
