It always starts right up. When this engine was first installed, it would very occasionally die when I push the clutch in and drop it to idle. It'd just drop too far and not be able to recover. I brought the idle speed up by 50 rpm or so and that problem disappeared. It's still got a pretty uneven idle when it's cold, but that's not atypical for an engine with these kinds of modifications. Plus, I never did take it back to DMCH so Bill could adjust the idle, which he wanted to do after 30 days. It's been close to a year.
