The DeLorean's PRV is a 6 cylinder version of an engine that was originally designed to be an 8 cylinder diesel. As such, the oil passage ways and the blah blah and the blah are all heavy duty and hold nearly 7 quarts of oil vs other engines that hold only 5 quarts, the 7 quarts don't get dirty as fast; blah, and the owners manual specifies 7500 mile intervals, so doing it at 2500 is a waste unless you have short spiked hair and wear an ear ring and do unusual (major blah!) things with your tools.
