We have put some time into redesigning the CG boards. Now on the third 
prototype, we've had several thousand miles of testing and everything is 
looking fine. The board has been reeengineered with additional 
protection components, and everything has been uprated in both peak 
voltage and temperature tolerance.

Not quite true. Those electrolytic smoothing caps can be tough to find 
in an appropriate temperature rating.
