Everytime I hear someone touting racing PRVs that get 600hp I wince.
So what? How is this applicable? I know a guy that has a 500hp n/a 3
rotor race engine... but it's also for sale for $30k.
GM engineers just modified a 4-cylinder destroked 2.2L ecotec (to 2.0L)
to do 750hp. But at what cost?
http://www.year2032.com/ecotec.htm
has an excellent writeup on what was needed to make this engine a drag
racer. At the very bottom of the page, it shows which parts had to
upgraded at which horsepower. Every engine will be different, but a lot
will have the exact same problems along the way.
