Walt, Sorry for the delayed reply. I've been playing "tactical twidget". :( Yes, the caliper must be unbolted. Those bolts are accessible from the back. If I disconnect the brake line, THEN undo the hub nut, then the caliper will come away with the rotor, hub and wheel all as one unit. I will not remove the caliper until I remove the 4 bolts that secure the rotor to the hub. If, as you say I -still- can't drill out the lugs from the back, that's ok. I'll drill from the front but then I can push DOWN with my weight instead of sideways. Does this make sense now, and do you see any other issues I didn't think of?
