Based on what you told us, this is what I had pictured. Only worse I guess. I mean the damage is in the location I had pictured. When I watch all the latest commercials from Saturn and the like about beams in the door and side impact curtains I honestly did wonder how well crash technology of 20+ years ago would compare to present day. I think it was on Tamir's site where I read a bunch of old proposals and investor sales pitches on the safety features of the DeLorean. I wondered if they were really worth a damn. I really am amazed. I would think a modern vehicle would be just as totaled out as yours from such a strike. It's very difficult for us to learn about this because we're not willing to sacrifice our cars to modern crash tests with dummies so for me, this is an educational view. We might as well gain all we can from the sacrifice of Louie's car. I actually worried that such a bad accident might make you gun-shy about the car or even driving in general. I'm glad it's not the case Louie. Take care. --- In DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Louie Golden <louie@xxxx> wrote: > I have uploaded 7 pics of my wrecked #10115 to the photos section of the dmcnews site. I'm very sad to lose my car, but am very very impressed how the car took the impact. I was broadsided by an '81 Cadillac Fleetwood going 60 mph, and walked away from the wreck with minor cuts and bruises. I'm now contemplating buying a new DeLorean, and making it my only car. If this doesn't prove that DeLoreans are safe, I don't know what would. > > Louie Golden > VIN 10115 (formerly) > > _____________________________________________________________ > Pre-order the updated second edition of "DeLorean: Stainless Steel Illusion" now!
