Questions, I get questions... >>will you be doing it with the doors up to see if it will fly?<< I doubt it, it needs to go straight down for safety reasons and there is no way to test what it will do with the doors open unless you want me to drop *two* of them. Besides, no way it's gonna "fly". In spite of what some here think, it's only a car. I suspect it would tumble with the doors open... >>Oh, on a side note. Could I buy your Right Angle Drive from you before you destroy the car?<< Sure. I'm not heartless, it's not gonna be in decent condition when it goes. (It won't be a parts car though.) I strip off everything that matters except the exteriors. No glass. The SS panels, frame, wheels and tires will die however. The left fender will be simulated, it's worth too much to kill. The engine has to come out and the car will need to be balanced. I've dropped lots of cars, the more exotic and unusual the more the crowd loves it. Between the tax advantages and parts sold I always recover the costs and then some. Not to worry, I'm sure they'll be lots of video. You can even go see it if you live nearby. >>Whatever happened to those quaint old concepts of respect, gratitude, helpfullness, etc? Were working pretty well for me over the weekend.<< They're still here. I wasn't flaming the guy, just pointing out the obvious. And help is still available for those who are wise enough to know the difference between knowledgable help and shadetree mechanicing...and who ask for it off forum. Personally, I'm becoming swamped with more requests than I can handle. I'll leave the really difficult questions for guys like you to answer here. ;) >>Checked Forum a couple of hours later and discovered people are now dropping DeLoreans out of airplanes.<< An incorrect assumption on your part, there are no airplanes involved. >>And I'm supposed to be the nut here?<< Uh...is that a trick question? Or is it simply rhetorical? >>BTW: where do non-nutty religious people fit into this scheme?<< No such thing, that's an oyxmoron if I ever heard one...same as happy marriage or military intelligence. At least it livens this place up, some of the other stuff I read on here makes me wonder if moderators aren't such a bad idea after all. Yahoo!
