Ok,

The correct contacts to short with the jumper you made are: 30 & 87b.

To identify them, remove the RPM relay and look at the end. They are
labled. Then identify them on the plug and put the jumper in and turn
the key on to the "run" position.

If you ever want to bypass the relay to test the fuel pump instead of
the frequency valve, jumper 30 & 87. That is called out in the Book as
well under "Fuel, Emissions & Exhaust".

I hope I'm your new best friend now. I blew my last in-line fuse
trying to remember which contact it was. :)

BTW, I'm not trying to talk down on you. If my explanations are
over-simplistic and you know some of this stuff just tell me.

Let me know how it works out.
