Actually, to be technical: was volunteering services of already overworked fire department buddy without asking him first, not diagnosing crumple tube sight unseen. As long as you've got something on main frame to attach to, don't see why SOMETHING can't be cobbled together. Would look like Frankenstein, but at this point do you care? Steering rack is obviously loose. Would make that first priority. Don't forget front end alignment afterwards! Radiator could be held up with a couple well placed pieces of angle iron if nothing else. BTW: car cleaned up nicely. Does wife know about crumple tube? May not eat words if you tell her.
