[DMCForum] Crag make glowing embers

Richard, Richard, Richard...

Have you not been following threads in DMCNEWS group? 18,000 volts is
not hot. Adequate maybe, but definitely not hot.

40,000-45,000 volts is hot. Go get yourself a new MSD or Pertronix
high performance coil. Get a new set of plug wires (Bosch for DeLo are
actually quite nice, but for now any new set with umbrella boots will
do). Get a set of low resistance plugs (I burn Delco R44's) and gap
them at least .038-.040. Run a temporary wire from the jump start post
to positive side of coil.

I thought you'd already replaced ignition. If this is LAST thing
you've tried I may have to come back up there and chase you around the
parking lot.

You do have new cap & rotor too?

Is no substitute for compression or spark (leave heads & pistons alone
and concentrate on spark).
