Remember the gizmo on my car for fast idle? That's an axuiliary air valve. Is not part of original DeLo design, but since I'm running a manual idle speed circuit I need one. Was very common on all other fuel injected vehicles of that vintage. Mine came from a BMW. Small photo's in #5939's photo album on DMCNEWS group. Is just a solenoid or coil operated valve, much like a heater core shutoff valve. When open, additional air is allowed to bypass throttle plates, increasing idle speed. I take off from a 3/8" nipple added just after air sensor plate (before throttle plates), then re-enter intake at unused nipple on driver intake rail (my R30 doesn't use stock DeLo vacuum system).
