Stock DeLo was 1/8" British Standard Pipe Thread (BSPT): 28 Threads Per Inch, actual pipe diameter 3/8". Calibrated 0-80 PSI. Most US aftermarkets are 1/8" National Pipe Thread (NPT): 27 Threads Per Inch, actual pipe diameter 3/8". Usually calibrated 0-100 PSI. No telling what is on any given car now. Mine had been converted to underdash gauge with capillary tube. Original fitting dilled out to 1/2" NPT (that's 3/4" folks). Since in dash gauge works excellent (test by grounding sending wire) I went back to stock style sender from John Hervey. Stepped down with brass 1/2" NPT to 1/8" BSPT adapter from McMaster Carr (http://www.mcmaster.com). BTW: Just about every fitting on stock engine is 1/8" BSPT. Won't find that in any US parts house, but can make reasonable facsimile from 1/8" NPT with 10x1mm metric die. Bill Robertson #5939 Yahoo!
