I have been playing with oxy-acetylene since I was 12. I have spent many hours watching pros work with it and have learned how to do many great things. I also know that I can screwup things really quickly as well. With practice you can learn how to heat aluminum alloy blocks and get out rusted studs. I wouldn't practice on a running engine and you have to be very careful cause if the magnesium in the case gets ignited all you can do is sit back and watch your baby burn.
