For the last year or so I haven't put any oil on the bushing, but then half of that time the car hasn't been drivable anyway. I was hearing a lot more noise from the suspension (every time a shock absorber moved), so the squeaks coming from the steering column bushing paled by comparison. I have used WD-40 which lasted about a week and then tried white lithium grease from a spray can. The lithium works for about a month or two and then it squeaks again. I explained this all to DMCJoe at a show. He just laughed and said that I will never be able to keep that kind of bushing from squeaking and just replace it with a better one. Walt Yahoo!
