You're right; shorting out the motor is THE method used for Radio
Controlled models to brake; If I go from forward to reverse, the
speedcontroller shorts the motor to brake before i get any reverse...

I am, so I'm not worried, but this IS a good thing to bring up...
Just went out to my car to have a look at my original relay and it
IS a 5 spade relay...
