Would that mean as I pulled away I would loose power??? I thought my warm
up regulator was dead, then I found this un plugged tonight...

  No Advance at higher RPMs, hence a loss in power I'd say...
  The vacuum-advance is disabled at idle by the Idle-Speed
  Microswitch to keep it from messing up the (hunting) Idle
  is what I understand from the manuals at a quick glance...
