> Which vehicle's outside mirror glass can be used as a substitute? There isn't one close enough to fit. Any good glass shop should be able to cut out a flat one. It is a very time-consuming process, so the $25 that DMC/Texas wants isn't all that much. But I've seen one of theirs and wasn't impressed by the rough-cut edges. I have successfully cut out several convex ones but break several more in the process. It takes about 1.5 hours to cut & grind one mirror. It is such a hassle that I packed the equipment away. I plan on making a few more later this year if I work up the patience. An alternative is to buy the crappy plastic mirror kits that some autoparts stores sell. You cut it to shape with a pair of scissors and stick it on. They look terrible, but are better than nothing. Walt ------------------------ Yahoo!
