Brass in an engine compartment will stay shiny for about a week, then
turn brown. =( There are polished stainless clamps though! =)

The Forum has really gotten slow so I had to find something to right
about :-) ...I have done my cooling/heater hoses and then it will be
time to reclean everything on the car again....I noticed on one of the
coolant pipe clamps under the
overflow bottle that it was actually brass. You would never know from
looking at it becasue it is black but when I removed it to slide the
aluminum coolant line I saw the shiny brass underside...Of course I then
think how nice it would be for all the brass around the engine to look
this shiny. I found a few other pieces of metal on the engine that are
brass...anyone clean their's up before? I wonder if I should start with
brass polish and see if that makes it look new again...anyone out make
theirs shine...
