Stop the presses! The DeLorean door switches suck. <tell you something you don't already know, right?> Almost from day one, I wanted to get rid of those crummy courtesy light switches. On one visit to Walt's place he showed me his replacement switches - the "proximity-type" switches. Nice solution, but very expensive. Well, maybe not. I happened across these switches in a magazine, I receive, that sells closeout hobby-related electronic parts. All Electronics Corp. They actually have (for the moment) several different types of proximity switches for prices ranging from $5.50 to $25.00. A few are exactly the right type for this application.
