buy a tester that plugs into the computer harness that the dealership uses to get codes off your computer, they start about $60 for a tester. i used one of these on my 89 ranger and found out i had a bad O2 sensor and a bad EGR valve at the same time. the pressure sensor is usually on the EGR valve (thats what the wiring harness plugs into on most valves). mark "erikgeerdink " wrote: > I have thought about taking it off and buying a closing plate for > it, but then I've heard that the check engine light comes on.
