[DMCForum] repairathon weekend

I have had this discussion with several Delorean friends/list members and
they all agree this would be a neat idea...How feasable is it to do a
Delorean repairathon weekend somewhere on the east coast. I live in MD and
I
know several of you live in Florida and other parts of the US....I think
alot of owners would benefit from such a weekend....My D needs alot of nit
picky things that I could do if someone could show me once....

Anyone think this would be a good idea or has access a garage or lift for
a
weekend? kind of like a good old fashion barn raising....I'll suppply all
the food :-) .....If we could get 8-10 cars somewhere I think it would be
a
lot of fun and we could all learn alot and get some of those pesky little
things knocked out....

anyone have any suggestions or ideas....

Oh my lord! HOW much for a track rod end?!!! $81!!!!!? (Tie rod end =

Took this pic after fitting my new ones. Available from
www.rimmerbros.co.uk (they're off a Triumph Herald).

Look, you can even select the price in $US and this means you don't have
to
pay tax (VAT). I would guess shipping won't be much on something that size
either.

www.deloreanmotorcenter.com/_109071_tie_rod_end.html sells the entire
tie rod assembly.

My question is: If I buy only the ball joint, then how does it fit
into the tie rod? Do I need a giant press to complete the job?
