Oh, I thought you were saying that if I drove the car anywhere that in probably less than 2 miles (with my driving habits) that it would self-destruct. :-) When Bob Brandys did a transmission swap to a Porsche 4 speed auto, the new tranny was a bit wider which required him to custom-shorten the half axles. I *assumed* that you needed to do the same. And since the tranny sits slightly asymmetrically, I again assumed that you shortened one side too much and needed a spacer to fix it. So it sounds like you are going to show up here (eventually) with a ready-made spacer on hand? Until then, your car makes a really cool lawn ornament. Ever since you left it, the temperature in my yard has noticeably dropped several degrees.
