Sure you could electroplate the real gold, but the spray on stuff would be considerably cheaper and you could enjoy it in public and not worry about being losing a $250,000 car, and it would be reversible. Im contemplating it! ----- Original Message ----- From: timnagin To: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, October 21, 2002 7:18 AM Subject: RE: [DMCForum] SunStar Model Someone posted a link to the gold De Lorean on display in Reno or Las Vegas and the sign in front of the car had the designation "LK". This was mentioned to be the identifier for the series of gold cars to be produced. As always, correct me if I am wrong. Also, there is a fairly new paint product on the market that, for lack of a better term, is like tinted clear. I think it would be really cool to customize a regular De Lorean to look like the gold ones. Greg Also, I have a thought as to the "LK" designation (call me Mr Rehash): I recall somebody once mentioned that DMC Limited was planning to market a GT version of the car. Could it be that the LK was to designate it from the GT? Then again it coluld be yet another typo from the SunStar people. Regards, Farrar Hudkins in New Orleans ------------------------ Yahoo!
