Farrar,
I am actually looking at a loft in NoDa lol. It's changed since you've left... it's got more art galleries and weird restaurants than ever... they just opened up the coolest Mellow Mushroom Pizza. It's this old house that they've taken out the second floor, and made it so you can see up inside it... all of the furniture is hung upside down from the ceilings... there are entire rooms up there. It's really cool. Do you have any bad experiences with NoDa or something?
I'm looking at either getting a storage room for the DeLorean... but I think I just might make it into my daily driver. It really all depends on how safe the area is going to be though. Everyone is always nice... just a bunch of art people everywhere. -Louie

PLEASE tell me you're not moving anywhere NEAR North Davidson. :\
Regarding theft: if somebody has the tools, the talent, the time, and
the desire to steal something, it will be stolen, period. This goes for
cars, cash, jewelry, art, anything. The only thing we can do is make it
as difficult -- and time-consuming -- as possible.
If I were super-paranoid and had the cash I'd consider a
24-hour-security-monitored mini-storage place. I've seen them around.
They're an option, but not a cheap one. If you're moving into a tough
neighborhood you might consider such a storage facility.
And as we all know, I'm cheap.
