All engines should have been able to run on unleaded petrol from 1986 but there were a few exceptions.
   
  Showing my age here, I have the Unleaded Petrol Guide printed in 1989 with the data on which cars (of the time) could & couldn't run on it and which needed a timing reset.
   
  Cost me £3.50 and with a timing light got me quite a few beers at uni.
