Hiya,
I used a company called Schumacher cargo (TA Global express lines), I
tried ringing TGAL but couldn't get a firm price out of them, plus
they were extremely expensive for moving my car across land to the
departure port (last quote I had they wanted $350 to take the car 25
miles to the port).
Contact in the States for Schumacher is a guy called Andy Howden - he
is at their west coast office, so if you call him leave it till late
afternoon ( when I called it was 6.30am and he was in the office :-) )
Their contact number is 310 513 6655 I found then very helpful and
easy to deal with as well as a good price. The UK contact is Ian
(ian@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) 01449 723576.
Cars come (containered) into Thamesport but the containers are then
moved to Chatham where the cars are removed to the agents yard - its a
lot easier (well it was for me) to get to Chatham than right out to
Thamesport itself as well. They cleared customs in 2 days as well.
Cheers
PhillW
