Hi Phil

There're two things that we off-board to specialists - gearboxes and 
air-con. Dan's guy seemed very good, I suggest giving him a sout. It 
sounds like it may be more terminal than just the compressor bearing. 
Although, I have seen one where the wiring was intermittent and caused 
the compressor clutch to stutter - that was a simple re-crimp of a 
couple of connectors
