RE: [doc] MG TF

The MG cars are unlikely to drop much in value.  It is anticipated that MG
will be taken over wholesale by an existing sports car manufacturer and
become a low volume sportscar maker, such as TVR.  They might honour the
existing warranty.

Warranty Direct or similar will sell you a warranty on any car and already
have an existing relationship with MG Rover.  The truth is that the better
selling cars, such as the MG's will not be discounted much yet, whereas the
big Rover limos, such as the 75 LWB will be at giveaway prices.

Personally, I wouldn't touch MG with a particularly long stick.  If you want
a sports car, buy a s/hand Boxter - better performance, better residuals,
better build quality. Just a better car.

But that's  personal view.

Just a thought following a radio interview with an MG dealer who stated
renewed interest in MG cars now they are no more, would the MGTF be a good
investment sports car for the future, probably get a good bargain but how
would the warranty stand up?
