I think what you're refering to is "Stars in Fast Cars" which was on BBC2 at 20:30 last night and has nothing to do with Top Gear (apart from the fact the same people present it)

I don't think any amount of pics you see of a DeLorean, can actually
prepare you for the real thing. They really are quite something else "in the
metal."
If you're not already hooked, you soon will be when you have a seat and
ride in one (I know I was!) and I'm sure if you ask around, there'll be
someone in the club who'll be more than happy to take you out for a spin,
(they're a really friendly bunch you know!)
