Re: [doc] something silly

Hi Tracey,

The Cigarette lighter is fuse number 17 and according to my manual should be
20 amp fuse. This supplies power to the cigarette lighter and the clocks.
If the cigarette lighter itself is still in, try removing this and make sure there are no metal fragments in the bottom of the cigarette lighter socket itself. Then try a new fuse.
If it blows again then you will have to investigate further where the cabling goes.
You never know, some previous owner may have tried to use this as a power source for something else as well.

Good luck.

My fuse blew today for the cigarette lighter socket. New fuse blew
as soon as I pushed it in. Nothing was turned on at the time.
Anybody have any ideas where to start looking for the fault.

Also how easy is it to change from a manual gear box to a auto and
is it an expensive job,
