It says on Tamirs web site on the page with the interviews with John Delorean, Tamir asked him if he ever owned a Delorean and will he ever, John replied "No" and "Maybe".

  i would like to know if john d himself owned a dmc12,if so does he

  Also i took my D out today on a 60 mile trip, she was running as 
  sweet as a nut until the rad hose on my D had worn and water was 
  trickling out,I just managed to to get home, ahhhhhh thats the way 
  it goes.
