Re: [doc] Erratic

Hi Nick

I have both the Renault PRV manual and the Renault K-Jetronic manual. The latter of which states that a lambda equipped system should be tuned to round 1.0%. Are we talking across purposes here? You are talking about sampling the gas upstream of the cat, aren't you? Without a cat, 0.3% at the exhuast pipe will be far far too lean, and should be set to 1.0% or 1.5% if you want to lose the lambda system and gain some power.

I've set up a lot of DeLorean engines.

If you adjust the mixture so that when the lambda sensor is plugged in it reads 0.3%, it'll be a tough car to start on a cold morning, and you'll lose a lot of power.
Nick - Not true, you set the base system to 1.0-1.3% (as per my Bosch manual), the Lambda system will reduce this value and the cat will do the rest. I'm sure I have uploaded the Bosch K-Lambda system on this newsgroup.
