RE: [doc] Darned Door!!!

I seem to remember you had problems with your door a couple of years ago,
when your car was stored "down my land". Didn't Mark sort it out for you
then.

I'm no door expert, But I once put a new lock in one and was frankly
horrified at the complexity of the mechanism and the multiple opportunities
for slicing your hand open on the razor sharp stainless steel edges
everywhere.

Sorry I can't be of any constructive help Ian.

I would comment that its probably worth putting some sort of petrol /
injector additive in there when you leave the car again.

Subject: [doc] Darned Door!!!

Hi DOCers,

I was back in N.Ireland last week and had the rare opportunity to use my
DeLorean. She sits for 1 or 2 years in storage between my visits. She
performed beautifully until the last evening. The darned drivers door
wouldn't unlock!

When I tried to use the key to unlock her it felt as if the rod/bar running
to lock was not functioning. Any ideas guys? Can the interior door panel be
removed for inspection by my mechanic?

Cheers, IAN (Hong Kong)
