RE: [doc] Long time in Bath

Oh yes it was fun!

I discovered my cooling fans have quit. It's really quite embarrassing to admit that I haven't a smeggin' clue what's wrong with them. Need to do somemore investigations on the ramp, but it basically looks as if BOTH motors have quit at precisely the same time.... Hardly likely!

Darren had some "good news" for a number of us:

Dave's is running lean, but only slightly and the adjustment port has neverbeen drilled out.
Dan's has been reassembled with half the vac hoses in the wrong place and the timing adjusted to compensate (over-advanced at idle, wasn't it, Dan?)
Steve's boiled up before he got as far as checking the timing and confirmedblown head gaskets.
On arrival in Bath, Darren had been following us and the first thing he said was "that one with the noisy exhaust just doesn't smell right! He confirmed Chris' was pinking, but about an hour on the engine and it's running shaweet now.
Mine had the adjustment screws a bit out, but otherwise was fine(!)

The drive through Bath was the biggest bit of posing I've ever done in my car and my clutch leg was quite tired by the time we had finished!!

Andy snell's new engine looks fantastic, but Darren said mine'd look better(!). His chassis is also incredible - took loads of photos.

Thanks a million for the invite Steve, let's hope PSO doesn't have to spendtoo long at Darren's and you could hold another one :-)
