RE: [doc] Import duty

Yes James,

I got stung for 65 pounds, for a tatty old speedo binical from Ian, because
his brother had said it was worth 300 dollars, for insurance purposes. I
have managed to get a load of forms to fill in, to try and recover the
money, but frankly have more pressing things to do. I think the damn customs
will end up wrongly keeping my extorted money!

Sorry Ian its not really tatty, just the system!

Just received a couple of second hand Delorean items today from the
States and I had to pay nearly 50 quid to H.M Customs to claim it!!!

On the package there was a little green sticker with "Gift" marked on
it, but sender also put a value next to it!

Customs picked up on this and on calling they explained that if an
item is over £100 there is an ever increasing value that's slapped
on!!!

Has any of you guys had this problem before, I guess you'd get away
with not putting a value on the box or least only a small amount.

Also has anyone had their Dash and Dash pod recovered?
How hard is it to get the dash out?

Finally while I'm here I may have a spare Delorean green Dash clock
for sale.
