RE: [doc] Isle of Wight Show

Paul,

I'm am very happy for you and any other club members to organise this or any
other shows that give enjoyment to all, especially at minimal cost. Its all
about letting people see our cars, and if we can help raise a few bob for
charity, then so much the better.

I'm not sure if I can make it...more later. When is the deadline for
entries?

Thanks,

Chris P

Subject: [doc] Isle of Wight Show

Vic Galluci has now sent me all the forms and stuff for this show he is
organising on the Isle of Wight. The date in case you forgot is Sunday 15th
September. The show is in aid of Carousel which is an island-based support
project for families where a child has a life threatening illness.
Vic has sent me a form that I have to complete and return in order to obtain
the free tickets for the ferries. Cars are expected to be parked and ready
by 9.40am on the day, so I think it is easier for some people to travel on
the Saturday and stay over.
So it's now time to decide if you want to go. If you do, then send me an
email direct to paul@xxxx with the ferry time of your choice (out and
back) and your reg no. I'll add you to the list and send it to Vic. Later I
can send you all the tickets and info by post.
The sailing times are: 14th outward from Portsmouth to Fishbourne 06.30
every half hour until 23.00. 15th outward 07.00 to 08.30 (every half an
hour). Crossing takes half an hour.
Then you are trapped in the show until 6pm and can leave on the 18.30 to
22.00 ferry. Leaving on Monday is impossible but you can extend the trip and
return on Tuesday or Wednesday by which time you would have seen every blade
of grass on the island. I imagine that it will be a free for all on Sunday
night and you may just have to take the ferry you're offered.
Chris P - I hope I'm not stepping on any toes by organising this. I'd be
happy to turn it over to you if you like as my fingers are already hurting
from typing this lot!
